a) It represents an enquiry to obtain an exemption from international sanctions, in accordance with the legal provisions from article no. 1 paragraph 1 or article no. 4 paragraph 4 of the Government Emergency Ordinance No. 202/2008, any person interested could submit to the competent Romanian authority a written request, followed up by all relevant documents.
b) The competent Romanian authority, will decide whether to grant the requested exempt, after receiving an endorsement of conformity with international legislation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
c) The solicitant will be informed, within 15 days from submission, about the solution to the requested exemption. In the case when the person interested demands an exemption for humanitarian cases, it will be informed by the competent authority, within 5 days from submission
d) In case of the granting an exemption, the competent authority will ensure that the funds or economic resources will not be used in other purposes than requested, complying to the terms from the document establishing the international sanction.
To obtain an exempt from international sanctions, the interested individual or entity must submit, in duplicate, a request written in Romanian. The request must be submitted, through NAFA`s registry office, followed up by all relevant documents needed to uphold its claims. The relevant documents needed to uphold the claims are submitted through NAFA`s registry office enrolled, numbered, signed, and stamped on each page. In case the documents are written in other language than Romanian, the individual or entity must submit a Romanian certified translation of the document.
